Nanosurf 969 Microemulsion for Unconventional Gas Shale

Nanosurf 969 (patent pending) is a biodegradable microemulsion surfactant.  All the ingredients meet California Proposition 65 requirements and it is specially designed to improve production for unconventional gas shale reservoirs.

Nanosurf 969 can be used between 0.1% - 3% where low permeability limits production such as tight gas, coalbed methane and shale formations and provides the following advantages:

  • Reduces damage caused by phase trapping from imbibed water.

  • Increases regained permeability to gas and improves gas recovery.

  • Lowers IFT between the aqueous and oil phase.

  • Enhances hydrocarbon and condensate mobilization and recovery.

  • Reduces capillary effects

  • Assists in removing near wellbore deposits.

  • Assists in removing filter cake after drilling operations.

  • Enhances the penetration and cleanup after acid treatments.

  • Improves the flowback of water based frac fluids.

Nanosurf 969 finds application in many processes including drilling, slick-water fracturing, enhanced oil recovery, wellbore cleanout, and permeability recovery.

Below is the data generated by an independent fracturing laboratory to show the effect of using the Nanosurf 969.
